Devotees of MahaPeriyavaa all over the world are now accustomed to the practice of writing MAHAPERIYAVAA NAMA daily viz-a-viz Nama Books issued all over the world by post, courier or getting the same in person through Sri Vignesh Studio, Sri.Kumar mama.

Devotees are well aware that these Namas are written for Pradhistai in Orikkai and Malai Kovil (in the pipeline). As of now almost 2 crores of MAHAPERIYAVAA NAMAS have been written.

ரிங்மாத ஸாமபிதா

ऋङ् माता साम पिता -ரிக்வேதம் மற்றும் சாமவேதத்தின் பெருமை

எல்லோரும் அவசியம் தெரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டியது இந்த உலகிற்க்கு தாய்தந்தையர்களாக விளங்கக்கூடிய அம்பாளுக்கும் பரமேஶ்வரணுக்கும் மிகவும் பிடித்தமானதாக விளங்குகிறது ஸாமவேதம். ஆகையாலேயே ஶிவாஷ்டோத்ரத்தில் सामप्रियाय नमः என்றும் லலிதாஸஹஸ்ரநாமத்தில் सामगानप्रियायै नमः என்றும் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
ஸ்ரீக்ருஷணபகவானும் वेदानां सामवेदोस्मि என்று கீதையில் வேதங்களில் தான் ஸாமவேதஸ்வரூபமாக இருப்பதாகக் கூறியுள்ளார்.
அவ்வாறே யாகங்களில் ஸாமகானத்தாலேயே தேவதைகள் ஸந்தோஷமடைகிறார்கள் என்று கூறுகிறது தாண்ட்யமஹாப்ராஹ்மணம்.
இவ்வாறு ஶைவ வஷ்ணவ பேதமின்றி ஸர்வதேவதைகளுக்கும் ப்ரியமான ஸாமவேதத்தின் மஹிமையை நாம் அறியவேண்டுமென்றால் ரிக்குடன் அதை தோலனம் ஶெய்து பார்க்கவேண்டும்.
ஏனெனில் ரிக்குடன் நன்று ஶேர்ந்ததாக ஸாமத்தை கானம் செய்யவேண்டும் என்பதாக ऋच्यध्यूढं साम गीयते என்ற சாந்தோக்யோபநிஷத் கூறுகிறது.
மற்றும் 1875 ரிக்குகள் ரிக்வேதத்திலும் ஸாமவேதத்திலும் ஒன்றாக உள்ளன.
1875 ரிக்குகள் ஒன்றாக இருந்தாலும் அவைகளில் சில ஸ்வரங்கள் மற்றும் அக்‌ஷரங்கள் மாறுபடுகின்றன.

ஆகையால் இவ்வாறு ரிக்வேதம் மற்றும் ஸாமவேதத்தை தோலனம் ஶெய்து பார்க்கும் பொழுது நாம் பல விதத்திலும் பயனடையலாம். ஆகையால் ரிக்குகளை தாயாகவும் ஸாமத்தை தந்தையாகவும் சொல்வது தான் ऋङ् माता साम पिता என்பது. இவ்வாறு மனதில் கொண்டு இதை கேட்டு பரமானந்த்தை அடையவும்.

As of now, there are probably 1000s of songs have been compiled, some tunes are done based on devotional songs and sung by so many devotees. How about a wonderful navarathna malika written, composed and given musical form by His prathaana sishya – Sri Periyava Himself? Isn’t it wonderful?
